MEDICAL DEPILATION WITH LASER: Laser Neodymium Yag

Each day more men and women get rid of their unwanted facial and body hair thanks to the COOLGLIDE systems. No more painful sessions of waxing, electrolysis and shaving! The CoolGlide laser systems incorporate technology of the XXI century for the treatment of this annoying problem. The CoolGlide laser systems are approved for the permanent hair reduction and have been designed for a safe and effective treatment in men and women with any skin tone. It is also suitable for suntanned patients.

CoolGlide is different

The CoolGlide system is the best laser hair removal in the market, and it allows the treatment of any skin tone, from light to dark, including suntanned patients. Its exclusive design, its great wavelength and the innovative cooling system design provide highly effective, safe and permanent results.

What areas can be treated with the CoolGlide laser systems?

The CoolGlide laser systems allow hair removal in all parts of the body: the face, legs, arms, armpits, the groin, the back, etc. It also allows the treatment of highly sensitive areas such as the chest, nipples and the bikini line.

What do you feel during a treatment with a CoolGlide laser system?

As its name suggests in English (“cool” means “fresh”), the handpiece cools and calms the skin as it glides by its surface. After emitting a pulse of light, some patients notice a slight pinch or a stabbing sensation. Normally it does not require either local anesthesia or painkillers.

How many sessions are necessary?

Most areas require a minimum of 6 sessions, but the number of necessary sessions with CoolGlide laser to achieve an optimum long-term effect depends on several factors such as the thickness and the cycle of hair growth, the area to be treated, etc.
An interesting fact is that not all the capillaries grow at the same time, they go through three distinct stages: growth, decline and rest. The CoolGlide laser systems achieve their effect stopping the hair when it is found mainly in the growth phase at the time of treatment. Given that the other capillaries go through this phase of growth in different times, you may need more sessions to remove all the follicles in a given area.

What happens after the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment with the CoolGlide laser, the treated area may appear slightly red and swollen. After a period of between 3 and 7 days it is possible that you notice that the hair seems to be growing again. In reality, the majority of these capillaries are being expelled as a result of the treatment; it is not that they are growing again. Between one session and the next, one should not remove the hair with wax or tweezers, but one can shave it if you desire. It is recommended to allow 6-8 weeks between one and another session.

Is there any activity that should not be carried out after the treatment?

You can resume your normal activity immediately after the treatment. It is recommended to use a sunscreen in the treated areas to protect from sun exposure. It is always recommendable to limit sun exposure.

What are the side effects?

Some patients may experience a redness or mild irritation of the skin similar to that that occurs with a sunburn. Normally, these effects last only a few hours, during which one should not use creams or deodorants that irritate the skin. In rare cases blisters may appear.

Why should I choose a CoolGlide laser instead of other laser systems for hair removal?

- With the latest technology in hair removal by laser, the CoolGlide laser systems allow to deal quickly with areas of great size without the limitations of other older technologies.

- The greater wavelength of CoolGlide allows us to use it with safety and efficacy in patients with light, dark or suntanned skins.

- A unique feature of the CoolGlide laser systems is that it can be used with fine hair, not only with thick hair.

- Its chilled handpiece increases patient comfort and minimizes the adverse reactions of the skin common with other laser systems.
